The Prince George Family Chiropractic Team

Dr. Shawn Gilmore

I was born and raised in Burnaby, BC. My first experience with chiropractic was when I was 17 years old. I was involved in an automobile accident that resulted in severe low back pain, sometimes so intense that my legs would buckle. After considering surgery my brother convinced me to give chiropractic a try. The chiropractor did an exam, took some x-rays and then “adjusted” my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt good. I got immediate relief. In fact, my back felt better than I ever remembered it feeling, even before the accident. It worked so well I decided to go to chiropractic school myself.

I earned my Chiropractic degree from Life College West in San Francisco, CA. and graduated with honors in 1995. I have been in full time practice ever since then. I have been entrusted to take care of everyone from tiny babies to athletes and the elderly. Looking back at my 20+ years in practice I am still impressed at the fast results chiropractic care can achieve and am still as excited about my profession as I was when I was 17 years old.
